Fluconazole

FUNGA® (Fluconazole) is a triazole antifungal drug which is a highly selective inhibitor of the fungal cell membrane, FUNGA® (Fluconazole) acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a major component of the membrane of yeast and fungi. It has a broad spectrum of activity. Oral administration of FUNGA® (Fluconazole) leads to rapid and almost complete absorption. Administration of the drug with food does not affect absorption.

Composition: FUNGA® 50 : Each Capsule contains Fluconazole INN 50 mg.
Pack sizes: FUNGA® 50 : Each box contains 3 x 10 capsules in blister. FUNGA® 150 : Each box contains 2 x 10 capsules in Alu-Alu blister.

Indications

FUNGA® (Fluconazole) is indicated for the treatment of : 1. Vaginal candidiasis. 2. Mucosal candidiasis : Oropharyngeal candidiasis, oesophagitis, candiduria. FUNGA® is also effective for the treatment of systemic candidal infections ( including candidaemia and disseminated candidiasis). 3. Cryptococcal infections (including meningitis). 4. Tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea versicolor, dermal candidiasis and onychomycosis.
