Neofexim® 200
Cefixime Trihydrate
Neofexim® (cefixime) is an oral third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis, producing a bactericidal effect, and it retains activity against many organisms that produce β-lactamase, which can make them resistant to some penicillins and earlier cephalosporins. Neofexim is commonly used for infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract (e.g., otitis media, bronchitis), urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea, where an effective oral option is appropriate.
