DITROLAC®
Analgesic / NSAIDKetorolac Tromethamine
Ditrolac (Ketorolac Tromethamine) is a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) analgesic used for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain, commonly in postoperative settings, where opioid-level analgesia may be required. Ketorolac provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects primarily by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX-1/COX-2) and reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Because it can increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal bleeding/ulceration, renal adverse effects, and bleeding due to platelet inhibition, it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest appropriate duration and is not intended for chronic use.
