Eritox® 90
Etoricoxib
Eritox is an oral selective COX-2 inhibitor (coxib NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, primary dysmenorrhoea, and acute pain (e.g., dental pain). By selectively inhibiting COX-2, it reduces prostaglandin-mediated pain and inflammation while generally offering lower risk of some upper-GI complications than non-selective NSAIDs. Like other NSAIDs/coxibs, it should be used cautiously in patients with cardiovascular risk (e.g., hypertension/heart failure) and for the shortest effective duration.

Detailed Information
Eritox (Etoricoxib) is a Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that exhibits Anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities. It is a potent, orally active, highly selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor within and above the clinical dose range. COX-2 has been shown to be primarily responsible for the synthesis of prostanoid mediators of pain, inflammation and fever, selective inhibition of COX-2 Etoricoxib decreases these clinical signs and symptoms with decreased GI toxicity and without effects on platelets function.
