Doctrol® 10

Cetirizine Hydrochloride

Doctrol-10 is a second-generation H1-antihistamine (an active metabolite of hydroxyzine) used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal/ocular itching, and watery eyes, and to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria. It works by selectively blocking peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing histamine-mediated allergic responses. Compared with first-generation antihistamines, cetirizine has minimal anticholinergic effects and is generally less sedating, though drowsiness can still occur in some patients.
