Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride
LCZ-5® contains levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg, a second-generation H1-antihistamine and the active R-enantiomer of cetirizine, formulated for relief of allergic symptoms. It works by selectively blocking peripheral H1 receptors to reduce histamine-mediated symptoms in conditions such as allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.

Detailed Information
This preparation contains Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride. Levocetirizine is the active (Levo) isomer of cetirizine. It is a new highly effective and well-tolerated nonsedating antihistamine with potent antiallergic properties. It has a two-fold higher affinity for H1 receptors than cetirizine. Levocetirizine has a rapid and long-acting action, allowing once-a-day administration.
